Description: While there are many "how to organize a mission trip" books available, there are far too few resources that first and formost answer the crucial question of "why we do mission trips." To be sure, Jann Treadwell's gift provides a step-by-step practical guide including how to prepare for a mission trip, what to do while you are on the trip, and what to do when you return home. She draws on years of experience and is gracious and generous in sharing her wisdom. But even more importantly, she tells us why we engage in mission. She helps the reader understand why God calls us to leave the ease of our lives to engage in ministry with others. What a gift! So while this book is very practical, it is also deeply theological. It is ultimatley more about God's activity than our own, and it helps us see the kingdom of God in a new way. The title is so appropriate. In engaging with otheres in ministry, we discover how God is even more faithful than we could possibly imagine and together, all of us, are UNBOUND from whatever holds us back from being even more faithful as followers of Jesus Christ!
